I make them randomly using curves, saturation, solid color fills, lighting effects, selective color, and random layer mode effects.

Basically, the original image on the preview shows the type of photo the actions might work best on. (by looking at the lighting whether it's outside or inside, and also the color tones)

but you can still have fun and try them out on different types of images
